About Me

I have been working in video production and photography since high school.  I started my production journey working as an anchor and editor for my high school video news program.  From there I moved towards a concentration in Film and TV production while working as a camera operator and director at the Katy ISD football stadium.

After high school, I went on to attend the University of Houston, studying Media Production.  While attending UH I was a member of the Student Video Network (SVN) as an editor and camera operator.  As an SVN member I worked on various commercials and shows for organizations within the university. Soon after leaving SVN I focused on TV production, taking the opportunity to direct multiple shows as part of a TV Production class and have continued to pursue freelance photography and videography work.

I was previously the Video Production Specialist for the Marketing Communications Department at Toshiba International Corporation. This opportunity started out as an internship where I quickly proved myself to be a valuable asset for the production of video content. I was made responsible for choosing new equipment to elevate the production value of the videos and content produced; I also went on to become the lead camera operator and cinematographer/director of photography for all of the videos produced, as well as taking on the duties of equipment manager in order to maintain all of the new production gear.

While working at Toshiba I also started working as a camera operator for the Sugarland Skeeters baseball team. As a Skeeters camera operator I was rotated between tripod/stationary positions and a roaming camera that covered on-field audience events as well as close-ups on players. The majority of my time at the Skeeters was spent as the roaming camera operator, a position that allowed me to get more creative with game coverage as I helped with the inclusion of player close-ups and two shots (shots that were previously not included in their game coverage).

Then, Covid happened. After a brief Covid hiatus I returned to Sugarland baseball, which was now the AAA Affiliate of the Houston Astros, to continue work as a camera operator for the newly renamed Sugarland Space Cowboys. Through the majority of the 2022 season I continued working as a camera op, but as the end of the season neared I stepped in as a temporary Technical Director and finished out the season as the TD. Throughout the 2023 & 2024 seasons I continued to work in my role as the TD/Broadcast Director, and was given the opportunity during the 2024 season to also learn the positions of Audio Director, CG Operator, Replay Tech, In-House Show Control (in-house producer). I was also able to continue working on short films outside of work; one of which was the winner of “Best of the Month” in August 2024 at an Austin-based Short Film Showcase.
